The Community Engagement Coordinator works closely with the Raleigh Police Department's community officers and serves as a crucial link between the police and the community. In this role, the coordinator builds partnerships that empower residents to collaborate with law enforcement in improving neighborhood safety and addressing the root causes of community issues.
This individual engages with various organizations, businesses, community leaders, and city officials to discuss sustainable long-term goals. Additionally, the Coordinator acts as a liaison to the I-CARE team and the LGBTQIA+ community.
