Virtual Public Session on Neuse River Park PARTF Grant Application

Raleigh Parks will host a virtual public session on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 6 - 8 p.m. to share information about the City’s upcoming application to the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) for Neuse River Park. The session will focus on the grant scope, timeline, and ways the community can support the application.

PARTF is North Carolina’s competitive grant program administered by the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation. It provides matching funds to local governments for acquiring land, building or renovating parks and recreation facilities, and expanding public access to waterways and outdoor recreation. PARTF projects are selected based on public benefit, alignment with local plans, site quality, accessibility, and long‑term stewardship.

Upcoming CAG & Public Milestones

Discussion of the cost estimate and final Schematic Design will occur at the March 24 CAG meeting (6 p.m., Raleigh Municipal Building, Room 305). The project will then advance to the Parks Committee on April 2 (6 p.m., Raleigh Municipal Building, Room 305), where elements proposed for funding through Phase One will be finalized. On April 16, 2026, the schematic design will be reviewed by the Parks, Recreation, and Greenway Advisory Board, which will provide a recommendation to City Council. The project is anticipated to be considered by City Council in May 2026, at which time Council will be asked to vote on the schematic design.
