What kinds of projects are covered by the Building Up-fit Grant?
This grant focuses on capital improvements to the interior of a commercial building. The goal of the program is to activate vacant or underutilized commercial building space in Raleigh to create new business use or new jobs.

What is the Facade Rehabilitation Grant?
The City of Raleigh’s Facade Rehabilitation Grant supports renovations to a building's exterior. It helps small business owners bring new life to their commercial buildings, transforming storefronts into inviting, eye‑catching spaces that attract customers.
Property owners and businesses can receive matching reimbursement grants of up to $10,000 to refurbish the exterior of their existing buildings. These upgrades enhance curb appeal, strengthen a sense of place in the community, increase foot traffic, and boost economic activity.
