Answer: To be a great firefighter, a person should:
- Be dedicated to helping others through courage, commitment, and compassion.
- Possess strong communication skills, integrity, an adaptable mindset, self- sacrifice, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to perform under critical situations.
Eligible candidates must:
- Be 18 years old when applying
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (proof required)
- Have corrected vision of at least 20/30 in both eyes
- Have a valid driver’s license
