Community Engagement Attending "Still We Speak"

Community Engagement staff will be attending the "Still We Speak" event. Students from Middle Creek High School's African American Literature and Teaching as a Profession classes have partnered with The African American Heritage Commission and the NC Department of Natural & Cultural Resources to "teach" NC Freedom Park to our community, specifically elders in our community. Students will present research and creative interpretations on the 20 voices of Black North Carolinians featured at the park. The event will run from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th. Please email Matt Scialdone at mscialdone@wcpss.net if you have questions about the event.
