Sunila Pendharkar
Sunila Pendharkar is a visual artist who has dabbled in painting, photography, quilting, sewing, and more. She was drawn to pottery because of its practical application for daily use. Pendharkar enjoys experimenting with different colors and shapes, seeking to break with conventional pottery forms in her work. She draws her inspiration from the world around her and still closely aligns herself with her Indian-born roots. The bright colors are an especially integral part of her work, as she still draws upon days in India as a child when she would paint designs on her saris. She immigrated to the United States in the early 1970s and has lived in Raleigh, North Carolina, for the past 15 years. Pendharkar has also worked as an engineer.

Fania Greenwood
Fania was born in France and grew up in the very old city of Lyon, where she studied Fashion Design, Pattern Making, and French Cooking. In the US, she studied Color & Design, Sculpture at Idaho State University, and Graphic Design & Photography in Charlotte. "My inspiration is usually a photograph of nature, graffiti, a building, landscape, fabric, a rock, a picture in a magazine.... I usually start with a loose charcoal drawing of shapes, curves and lines. Like a figure drawing, I need to be satisfied with balance and usually turn the canvas around many times. I mix colors in little jars, decide which ones I am going to use. I am drawn to strong primary colors shapes and the unusual."
