A mural at Green Road Community Center that reads Together We Can End Gun Violence

New Mural at Green Road Community Center

A community-initiated art project proposed by the Boys & Girls Club with support from Artspace, Raleigh Arts, and Lowe's Home Improvement. Artwork by Alcrist Moreta.

Artist Alcrist Moreta has created a mural at Green Road Community Center to raise awareness about gun violence. Alcrist was personally impacted by gun violence when her 19-year-old brother, Miguel Bejaran, was shot and killed near the mural's site on November 16, 2021. She hopes this mural will uplift the community with positive conversations about prevention and safety to help end gun violence.

This mural is a community-initiated art project proposed by the Boys & Girls Club with support from Artspace, Raleigh Arts, and Lowe's Home Improvement.
