City Partners with Local Documentarians to Amplify Resident Stories

A public art program of Raleigh Arts

The City of Raleigh is partnering with StoryShed Studio to amplify Raleigh residents' stories. This partnership aims to enhance City services and connect with neighborhoods. By engaging residents, the City seeks to understand their desires for change and celebrate their unique narratives.

For the next year, Juli Leonard and Johnny Andrews, the team behind StoryShed Studios, will act as Documentarians-in-Residence for the City of Raleigh. StoryShed Studio specializes in capturing community stories through still, audio, and video mediums. The Documentarians will create living archives to tell stories reflective of Raleigh’s diverse populations
