47th Annual Sertoma Park Artists Association Exhibition

New Exhibition at the Sertoma Arts Center

Creativity, community, and nearly five decades of tradition come together this spring as the 47th Annual Sertoma Parks Artists Association (SPAA) Exhibition opens at Sertoma Arts Center. Featuring the work of more than 30 talented local artists, this vibrant show fills every gallery space with dynamic paintings and drawings created by one of Raleigh’s long-running artist groups.

Founded in 1979, SPAA was created to bring together artists passionate about fine art. What began as a small gathering of painters and drawers has grown into a thriving weekly tradition. Every Thursday morning, members meet at Sertoma Arts Center to create, exchange ideas, and encourage one another’s artistic journeys — building both skill and lasting friendships.

SPAA first exhibited at Sertoma in fall 1979, returning again in April 1980. Since then, the group has presented an annual exhibition each spring, establishing a beloved and enduring showcase that celebrates local creativity year after year.

The 2026 exhibition will be on view from Friday, February 27, through April 29, filling the Raleigh Room, Hall Gallery, and Lobby with a diverse range of styles, subjects, and artistic voices.

The public is invited to celebrate with the artists at the Opening Reception on Saturday, March 7, from 2–4 p.m. Meet the creators, experience the artwork up close, and enjoy an inspiring afternoon surrounded by the energy of Raleigh’s vibrant arts community.
