About the Artist

Ashley is a ceramic artist with a BFA in Sculpture and Ceramics from UNC Greensboro. Ashley is based out of Raleigh, NC. She has been influenced by the Raleigh arts scene for years and currently balances her work between multiple arts centers, teaching and helping run the pottery studios. Ashley enjoys pulling ideas, forms, and shapes from the natural world and has a great interest in flowers and plants. Her work ranges in style, shifting from playful, to abstract, and even into calculated expressions of nature and organic imagery. In her chalk wall mural “Abundance”, Ashley embodies the playfulness of nature through her use of vivid colors, and flowing imagery seen in the outline of the vessels, curves of the water, and vines of the plant life depicted in her piece.
