Traffic Alert: One Lane Reopens on Tryon Road

Drive slowly as you approach the intersection of Tryon and Brisk Gallop Way

What's Happening

Raleigh Water crews have reopened one lane on Tryon Road as they continue to perform emergency repairs to a major sewer main break. The lane opened around noon on Friday, allowing vehicles to pass through the area.

Impact

One lane on Tryon Road is now back open, but work is ongoing.

Work Update

While a firm timeline for the repair isn't available yet, the hope is to have the entire road open again by the end of next week (week of 8/25).

What Else to Know

With the first day of school for many students attending Wake County Public Schools approaching next week, Raleigh Water has already coordinated with their transportation department to make sure parents are aware of any temporary changes to bus stops.

This is an emergency repair. The surrounding water and sewer services should not be affected.

Raleigh Water appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as crews work to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible.
