Traffic cones line a highway at dusk creating a lane closure for road maintenance work at night

Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on Falls of Neuse Road

Lane closure in place April 28-May 9

Starting Monday, April 28, Raleigh Water will close the right southbound lane of Falls of Neuse Road near the 10000 block for a utility project. To keep traffic moving, crews will open a temporary lane shift so two southbound lanes stay open. Work is expected to continue through Friday, May 9.

This project is part of ongoing water and sewer system upgrades. No service interruptions are expected.

What to Expect:

  • Two Southbound Lanes Stay Open – A temporary lane will help keep traffic flowing.
  • Delays Possible – Drivers should expect delays and consider other routes if possible.
  • Follow Signs – Look for posted signs, cones, and crews directing traffic.
  • No Service Disruptions – Nearby homes and businesses will keep normal water and sewer service.

Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to Raleigh’s infrastructure.
