Leaves are falling, and Raleigh’s annual leaf collection season begins this Wednesday, November 12! Residents have several options for managing their leaves this season:
- Leave it for mulch: Shredded leaves make excellent natural mulch for garden beds and trees.
- Rake it to the curb: Crews will visit each neighborhood to vacuum loose leaves as part of the seasonal collection schedule.
- Bag it for pickup: For those who prefer not to wait for the vacuum truck, Raleigh Transportation is offering a free 5-pack bundle of 30-gallon paper yard waste bags (one bundle per household).
Bags can be picked up from one of three convenient locations:
- Central Operations Facility – 2550 Operations Way, Raleigh
- NERO Location – 3228 Spottswood Street, Raleigh
- Raleigh Municipal Building – 222 W. Hargett Street, Raleigh (4th floor)
