The Raleigh Transit Authority (RTA) is an all-volunteer board comprised of nine residents who are appointed by Raleigh City Council.



RTA conducts regularly scheduled, monthly business meetings. All RTA meetings are open to the public. The dates and locations of all RTA meetings are publicized. Regular business meetings are normally scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month, August through June. Occasional, "special" meetings may be held. The RTA also encourages public input.
