Celebrate Atlantic Avenue
The City is excited to celebrate the Atlantic Avenue Improvement Project with a ribbon-cutting event! The project enhanced Atlantic Avenue between New Hope Church Road and Highwoods Boulevard with new sidewalks, a multi-use path, a median with turn lanes, and a new traffic signal at Bramer Drive. These improvements make it easier and safer for people to travel along the corridor.

Public Art Along the Corridor
The project also includes public art by Durham artist David Wilson. The artwork adds a creative element to the corridor and incorporates poems by Johnny Lee Chapman, III.
