Macie Rush

Strategy Designer

Macie is the Explorer of Big Ideas, more formally known as Raleigh’s Strategy Designer. Her work includes perspectives from service design, behavioral science, qualitative and quantitative research, and public health systems.

Macie supports the City's strategic plan and leadership teams in identifying gaps and opportunities, developing tools, designing and facilitating research and evaluation, and synthesizing data into strategic insights.

Macie holds a master's in public health and a certificate in innovation from the University of North Carolina, and a BS and BA from the University of Georgia. Outside of work, you can find her at home with her pets, watching movies, exploring Raleigh's coffee shops and speakeasies, and reading—or talking about wanting to read more—while sipping coffee with friends, book in lap.

Contact her if you want to learn more about Raleigh's strategic plan, research and evaluation tools, or opportunities for human-centered design sprints and workshops.
