New Design Manual
The City of Raleigh Stormwater Design Manual and associated UDO text changes became effective on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Plans submitted after that date will be required to follow the new Manual and the revised UDO.

Approval Process and Timeline
The Stormwater Design Manual is incorporated into the City’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) by reference; therefore, changes must be approved by the City Council. The Stormwater Design Manual was presented to the Stormwater Management Advisory Commission (SMAC), the Planning Commission and their Text Change Committee, and City Council.
