Citywide COVID-19 Information

Special Events Specific COVID-19 Information:

The Office of Emergency Management and Special events is currently accepting applications for special events and reviewing them on a case-by-case basis. Note that submitting an application does NOT guarantee approval of the event.

All permitted special events are subject to COVID-19 mass gathering limitations and Statewide requirements for face coverings and social distancing. In addition, all event organizers must provide a detailed COVID-19 safety plan prior to event approval. For questions regarding the safe return of special events, please contact our office at 919-996-2200 or specialevents@raleighnc.gov

The City of Raleigh is proud to host and celebrate hundreds of events each year, from major conventions and sporting events to community-based festivals and races. The Special Events Office provides a single point of contact for event management and compliance, overseeing all aspects of special events that utilize City streets, public plazas, and Dorothea Dix Park.
