The annual Mayor’s Unity Day Celebration aims to bring diverse elements of the community together to enhance understanding of different cultures.

The annual Mayor's Unity Day event was held in Moore Square on Saturday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, family event included games, performances, food trucks, inflatables, and more. Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin gave remarks.

2020
Free family event with history, food, music, and dance held Feb. 29, 2020 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Mayor Pro-Tem Corey Branch and City Councilor Saige Martin gave remarks. Entertainment featured Raleigh’s African American history through spoken word, African drumming, and dance and a Cantata of spirituals featuring the gospel choirs of Shaw University, Saint Augustine’s University, NC State University and Southeast Raleigh High School.

2019
The free Mayor's Unity Day, on Aug. 24, 2019 included breakfast for registered attendees and focused on the Vietnamese and Brazilian cultures in Raleigh.
