Public Notice of Donation of Surplus Equipment
North Carolina General Statutes 160A-280 gives authority to local governments to donate to another governmental unit within the United States, a sister city, or a nonprofit organization upon adoption of resolution by the City Council. A public notice must be made at least five days prior to the adoption of a resolution approving the donation.
A Resolution for Donation will be considered at the February 1, 2022, Raleigh City Council meeting at 1:00 pm in the Raleigh City Council Chambers at 222 W. Hargett St. for a 1988 Pierce Snorkel Aerial Fire Apparatus to be donated to Raleigh Fire Museum. For more information, contact Lanaee Gilmore, Procurement Services Officer, at 919-996-3240.
