Help the Raleigh Fire Department kick-off Fire Prevention Week at a fall festival on Sunday, Oct. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Fire Station 22.
The festival will offer an opportunity to jump in a bounce house and watch football, along with popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, and pictures with Sparky. Fire Station 22 is at 10050 Durant Road in Raleigh.
This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is cooking safety. The “Cooking safety starts with You. Pay attention to fire prevention” campaign works to educate the public on simple but important actions they can take when cooking to keep themselves and those around them safe. Fire Prevention Week takes place Oct. 8 -14, 2023.
Note: Due to logistical concerns, we are no longer offering chili and hot dogs.
