Updating City Facilities

In line with our dedication to providing sustainable, world-class emergency services to our community, The City of Raleigh is pleased to announce the start of the Fire Station 15 Replacement Project.

Fire Station 15, having reached the end of its useful life, will be replaced with a new 18,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility. Currently in the design phase, this project is scheduled for completion by 2028.

  • Three apparatus bays
  • Capacity for 35 firefighters and three-battalion companies
  • 18,000/+ sq. ft.

Planning

Fire Station 15 completed the planning phase. This phase focused on planning to ensure that the new facility meets the operational and programming needs of the Raleigh Fire Department while maximizing the utilization of the site. 

Through careful consideration and strategic decision-making, the planning phase sets the stage for a modern and efficient fire station that will serve the community for years to come. Stay tuned for further updates as we progress through this crucial phase of the project.

Design

The Fire Station 15 is currently in the design phase. During the design phase the team converts programming insights into actual drawings and specifications. This includes Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents. We are currently at the Construction Document Stage.
