Project Overview
The Crabtree Creek West Bank Stabilization Project will repair and stabilize sections of the streambank along Crabtree Creek to protect the adjacent greenway, underground utilities, and surrounding natural areas from ongoing erosion. The project will use a combination of natural and engineered stabilization techniques, including buried rock protection, woody materials, soil lifts, erosion control matting, and native vegetation to create a more stable and resilient streambank while maintaining the creek's natural character.
Construction will occur in carefully planned phases to minimize environmental impacts and restore disturbed areas once work is complete. Temporary greenway closures will be necessary during construction to ensure public safety. When finished, the project will improve the long-term stability of the creek corridor, protect public infrastructure, and enhance the health of the creek environment for years to come.
