Convention Center Expansion Joint Project

Maintaining City Properties

We completed maintenance work on the expansion joints that are placed around the convention center in downtown Raleigh.

Expansion joints connect building material and release stress on structures from thermal/mechanical movement. The joint materials needed to be replaced with new ones.

Most work took place on the sidewalk and curbs. The expansion joints are underground so you will not see a lot of change.
