We are completing maintenance work on the expansion joints that are placed around the convention center in downtown Raleigh.
Expansion joints connect building material and release stress on structures from thermal/mechanical movement. The joint materials need to be replaced with new ones.
Most work will take place on the sidewalk and curbs. The expansion joints are underground so you will not see a lot of change when the project is complete.
