PUBLIC NOTICE

Sale of City Surplus real property – Advertisement for upset bid proposals.  In accordance with N.C.G.S. 160A-269, the public will take notice that the City of Raleigh has received and proposes to accept the offer of $10,000 from Jennifer and Dave Maldonado to purchase the property identified as Wake County Tax Parcel REID 0066525, being located at 8919 Hunting Trail, Raleigh, NC, and containing approximately 0.57 acres. The City will give a non-warranty deed. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SERVED BY SEWER. SOME OF THE SOIL AT THE SITE IS DISTURBED AND NOT SUITABLE FOR SEPTIC USE. PLEASE REFER TO THE PRELIMINARY SOIL EVALUATION FOUND AT THE LINK BELOW. The winning bidder will be responsible for all advertising costs incurred by the Sellers during the upset bid process. Any person may, within ten (10) days from the publication hereof, upset the bid by submitting a written offer on the specific City of Raleigh Offer to Purchase and Contract found at below, in a sealed envelope labeled “8919 Hunting Trail” to the City of Raleigh Revenue Services Window, at the Avery C. Upchurch Municipal Complex, 1st Floor Revenue Services Lobby, 222 West Hargett St., Raleigh, NC 27601, increasing the amount being considered by at least ten (10%) percent of the first one thousand ($1,000) dollars and five (5%) percent of the remainder, accompanied by a deposit equal to five (5%) of the new bid. Deposits must be submitted in the form of a certified check or money order and made payable to The City of Raleigh. Written offers with deposits are due by 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025.
