As Raleigh’s population continues to grow, the need for providing necessary services and maintaining our infrastructure will play a key role in providing a good quality of life for all Raleigh residents. Whether it be emergency services, access to parks and open spaces, or trash collection, these services help keep Raleigh happy and healthy. As we plan for the future, using city resources sustainably will ensure existing and future residents have equitable access to key services.
City infrastructure and services include:
- Police
- Fire
- Transportation
- Solid Waste Services
- Water
- Parks and Recreation
Community Conversation
Our last Community Conversation will feature presentations and discussions on Raleigh’s infrastructure and services. A keynote speaker will present, and a panel of City staff will discuss how we balance Raleigh’s growth with providing adequate services now and in the future.
On May 29, Joe Minicozzi, AICP, the principal of Urban3 shared his thoughts on The Dollars and $ense of City Economics.
On June 5, Raleigh’s Planning Director, Pat Young, presented the State of the City.
You can view a recording of the event on the City of Raleigh YouTube channel.
