Marshall Park is located along a third of a mile of House Creek Greenway, near the Blue Ridge Road entrance. This park was a gift to Raleigh from George F. “Rick” Marshall in honor of his father, Lt. Col. George F. Marshall, a decorated veteran of World War II.
In general, parks are open from dawn to dusk every day.
A monument and plaque describing the military history of Lt. Col. George F. Marshall stands next to a decorative metal pergola and trellis in a wooded park. A granite path leads through the pergola and woods to a wooden walkway with benches that overlook House Creek in a quiet, restful space.
