Your Guide to Biltmore Hills Park Projects

Several projects are happening at Biltmore Hills Park at the same time. Each has a different purpose and timeline. Learn what’s happening and how you can stay involved.

  • 2022 Bond Project
This voter-approved project is focused on building and upgrading park facilities. A total of $6,750,000 in bond funding has been approved for this work. Design is underway, with permitting, bidding, and construction expected to take place in 2026-2027.
  • Public Art
In 2024, Charlotte-based artist Georgie Nakima was selected to create a permanent artwork for the park. Her work explores identity, nature, and shared community experiences, and this piece will be designed specifically for the park. Final designs, fabrication and installation are planned for 2026-2027.
  • Master Plan Update
The master plan update is a community planning process that looks at the long-term future of the park. Community members can share ideas, concerns, and priorities. Site analysis and early public input will take place in early 2026, followed by design alternatives in spring 2026. A draft master plan will be shared for review in summer 2026, with adoption expected later that summer.

Each project is related but separate, with its own goals, schedule, and ways for the public to stay involved.
