Year One: Learning About Communities
The first year focuses on helping participants gain comfort in the outdoors, develop friendships, and learn about the natural world on an introductory level. Participants engage in a week-long day camp at the start of this year.
Year Two: Investigating Communities
This year builds upon the learning and comfort of the first year, inviting students to take a deeper scientific look at the natural world to identify connections to their communities. There will be an extended outdoor experience at the end of the year.
Year Three: Impacting Communities
The third year focuses on exploring ways to create positive change in our communities. Students may observe town hall meetings, identify community needs, and engage in service projects. There will be an overnight camping experience at the end of the year.
