Ages 5-13

Focus: Cheer Basics, Safety, Team Spirit, and Performance Building

Warm-up 15 min - Light jogging, high knees, and jumping jacks
- Arm circles, toe touches, hip stretches
- Partner-assisted splits and body alignment exercises
Motion and Chant Techniques 20 mins- Review sharp motions: high V, low V, T, broken T, daggers
- Call-and-repeat drills for motions in sync
- Teach one basic sideline chant
Jumps and Conditioning15 mins- Toe touch, tuck jump, herkie (progression by age/ability)
- Conditioning circuit: planks, wall sits, mountain climbers (20–30 sec rounds)
Stunting and Safety 20 mins- Age-appropriate stunts: thigh stands, preps, half extensions (spotters assigned)
- Drills for bases, flyers, and spotters
- Focus on trust, communication, and clean technique
Routine Development 15 mins- Teach and rehearse a short routine (incorporates motions, jumps, and chant)
- Emphasize spacing, facial expressions, and transitions
Cool Down and Wrap-Up5 mins- Static stretching
- Positive feedback from coach
- Team cheer and dismissal
