Raleigh Parks Seeks Volunteers for Holiday Express

Raleigh Parks needs your help to host our biggest event of the year - Pullen Park’s Holiday Express!

With the holiday season fast approaching, Raleigh Parks is seeking over 500 volunteers to help spread holiday cheer during the annual Holiday Express event, as well as, the Sensory Friendly Holiday Express event. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and to help make a lasting memory for those in attendance.  Volunteers will be working right in the heart of the event by running games and activities. 

Location: Pullen Park
Dates:  Monday, Dec. 2 – Dec. 18
Time: 4 - 9:45 p.m. or 3 - 5 p.m.
Ages: 15 and up

Holiday Express

  • Event Description: During the event, Pullen Park is transformed into a winter wonderland where guests can experience crafts, holiday lights, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more!
  • Time and Date: This year’s volunteer shifts run every night from Dec. 2 to Dec. 18 from 4 to 9:45 p.m. Raleigh Parks is also recruiting volunteers for the four makeup dates that will be activated in the case of severe weather. These additional nights are Dec. 19 to Dec. 22 from 4 to 9:45 p.m.

Sensory Friendly Holiday Express

  • Event Description: Pullen Park's gates are opening earlier to provide visitors with a sensory-friendly version of Holiday Express. Lights and music will be limited during this timeslot to provide a comfortable atmosphere for those with special needs or sensory sensitivitiesGuests can still experience crafts, holiday lights, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more!
  • Time and Date: Dec. 7 and Dec. 15 from 3 - 5 p.m.
