Summer X-Press, Teen X-Treme, and Camp Exploration dig in each week to track progress in the garden and participate in an activity that gives campers the opportunity to “grow” their interest in gardening. Led by Raleigh City Farm, campers have enjoyed participating in a wide range of activities, including upkeep, tracking plant growth, discussing sustainable farming practices, harvesting produce, and orchard care.
Campers who find a passion for gardening join the weekly “Farm Club” for additional time on the farm. While the Urban Farm is currently operational for education and volunteering, we anticipate the “pay what you can” farmstand will open for distribution summer 2027.
