LGBTQ+ Film Series:

"Bessie" and "Victor/Victoria"

Join us for our monthly program, usually on the first and fourth Tuesday of the month. 

We will be showcasing films with diverse themes around sexuality and gender. This program is co-hosted with the Carolina Aging Alliance. All folks 18+ are welcome!

"Bessie"

October's first film is "Bessie." A remarkable film about the story of the legendary, historical blues performer, Bessie Smith, who rose to fame during the 1920s and '30s. Seating is limited, so please register in person or online.

"Victor/Victoria"

October's last film is "Victor/Victoria." A struggling female soprano in 1934 Paris finally finds work after posing as a female impersonator, but it complicates her personal life when a visiting Chicago gangster finds himself inexplicably attracted to the seemingly male performer. Seating is limited, so please register in person or online.
