Construction at Green Road Park is scheduled to begin in February, marking a major step forward in the Green Road Park Improvement Project. Construction is expected to continue through early 2027.
During this period, outdoor facilities at Green Road Park will be closed to the public, and all outdoor programs hosted at the park will be suspended or relocated. Despite the closure of outdoor facilities, both the Green Road Community Center and the Green Road Library will remain open and continue serving patrons throughout construction. Parking at the Community Center is expected to be limited due to construction activities.
Improvements include new accessible pathways connecting park features; raised parking lot crosswalks to improve pedestrian safety; entrance plaza with a shade structure; expanded playground area; new restroom building; pickleball courts; electric vehicle charging station installation; stormwater improvements; and landscaping.
