The City of Raleigh and We Plant It Forward are teaming up for the 2026 Raleigh Arbor Day Celebration on Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Carolina Pines Park.
The event invites community members to take part in a hands-on day of service focused on strengthening Raleigh’s urban tree canopy through volunteer activities and guided environmental stewardship.
The celebration will kick off with a ceremonial tree planting and an Arbor Day proclamation, followed by rotating stations where volunteers can learn practical tree-care techniques and support local ecosystems. At the end of the event, participants will receive a free tree to plant at home, to help contribute to Raleigh's community goal of planting 24,000 trees by 2032 through the Leaf Out initiative.
