This month, we welcome Raleigh Garden Club member Erica Winston. Her talk will be on Women-owned green businesses of the early 20th century. This lecture delves into how the emergence of garden clubs during this era fostered a "shadow economy," enabling many families to navigate the challenges of the Great Depression. Discover how these clubs not only provided financial support but also offered women a platform to showcase their talents and gain recognition.
