Author Talk: Miracle Road with Mack Paul

Join the City of Raleigh Museum on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. for an inspiring book talk with land use attorney and Triangle native Mack Paul, co-author of Miracle Road: The Story of Research Triangle Park.

Written with his late father, Allen Paul, and built upon more than 160 exclusive interviews, Miracle Road delivers an honest, deeply human chronicle of how North Carolina defied the odds—transforming a rural expanse once described as "possums and pines" into a global powerhouse for technology and life sciences. A source of profound local and regional pride, the book celebrates the courageous civic leaders, groundbreaking companies, and pivotal decisions that shaped the park's rise.

Drawing from his deep professional roots as a co-founder of Morningstar Law Group, former chair of the Greater Triangle Regional Council, and regional planning instructor, Paul demonstrates how this rich history sheds light on RTP’s current multi-use reinvention and provides a vital roadmap for the region's dynamic future.

This talk will highlight the special relationship Raleigh and Wake County had in the evolution of RTP.
