Climate Equity

Not everyone is affected equally by the impacts of climate change. Many times, the communities that are most affected by climate change are those that contribute the least to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Raleigh strives to take an equitable approach to climate programs to make sure that we address current disparities and consider future impacts in all that we do.  Climate action is an opportunity to build a more equitable city for all our residents.  All climate action initiatives that the City and community take should consider equity and environmental justice in their implementation.
