Stay Safe and Stay Involved With the Summer Safety Series

Learn More

Summer is the time memories are made. Hopefully, they involve family barbecues, meaningful vacations, and carefree moments with kids. In trying to ensure that, the City of Raleigh is offering a community education program about summer safety. The Raleigh Police Department is partnering with several other departments to host the program at the Millbrook Exchange Community Center on Tuesdays in June and July.

"Public safety is a shared responsibility," said Assistant Director Amanda Rolle, who leads the Community IMPACT and Engagement Division of RPD. "It takes all City partners and every member of our community doing their part. The impact we want to make this summer goes beyond a response; it starts with education and engagement."

In addition to the Summer Safety sessions, neighbors are invited to join us for additional events such as Peace in the Parks, pop-up Copsicles and Pupsicles throughout the summer, and National Night Out events across the city on Aug. 4.
