Get answers to these and other questions at the City of Raleigh’s summer safety information sessions. The City will offer a community education program that focuses on summer safety from June 2 until Aug. 4.
Key Details
Information sessions will be held on Tuesdays at Millbrook Exchange Community Center.
Topics include:
- Water safety (drowning prevention, life jackets, etc.)
- Fire safety (safe grilling, backyard fires, etc.)
- Road safety (pre-trip checks, hot car danger, etc.)
- Fireworks safety (injury and fire prevention)
- Safe spaces to beat the summer heat (Raleigh Police Department Hoop Nights, cooling centers, etc.)
- Nightlife safety (parking safety, safe rides, etc.)
- Trail and outdoors safety (bike repair, trail rules, pet safety)
The program also includes four events: Peace in the Parks (meditation), COPsicles (free ice cream), PUPsicles (dog treats), and the National Night Out on Aug. 4.
