The focus of the Mid-Town Spot Improvement project is to enhance pedestrian access, transit connectivity, and overall corridor safety. The project will improve safety and access along Six Forks Road between Millbrook Road and Lead Mine Road.

Improvements include:

• New bus stops to improve transit access;
• Intersection and pedestrian safety upgrades, such as signal improvements at key locations;
• Upgraded curb ramps and high-visibility crosswalks; and, 
• Installation of new traffic control where needed.

These enhancements are based on traffic analysis and are intended to provide targeted, meaningful safety improvements while allowing the City to deliver the project efficiently and responsibly.
