Council Approves Adjustments to Boards and Commissions

Tweaks were made during Aug. 19 meeting.

City Council made several tweaks to City boards and commissions at its Aug. 19 meeting. 

Changes include:

  1. The Historic Cemeteries Advisory Board will be dissolved and consolidated with the Historical Resources and Museum Advisory Board;
  2. The Fair Housing Hearing Board is renamed the Fair Housing Advisory Board; and,
  3. The Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities will be renamed the Raleigh Commission for Persons with Disabilities.  

The Council’s special committee on boards and commissions will hold a public comment session at a later date to hear comment regarding proposed changes to the structure and composition of various board and commissions.
