Design, Build, Explore

Engineering is all around Raleigh. Engineering Services professionals design, build and maintain the places, systems and services that help our City work. Design, Build, Explore, connects students with real-world projects, engineering concepts and career possibilities.

What Students Experience

Students get a closer look at engineering through activities, conversations with professionals and examples from across Raleigh. They explore:

  • Solving community challenges — addressing real-world needs and finding practical solutions.
  • Engineering in Raleigh — seeing how infrastructure, facilities and systems shape everyday life.
  • Careers in Engineering Services — discovering the people, skills and career paths behind the work.
