The Raleigh Digital Connectors Program is a technology and leadership training opportunity for young residents, ages 14-18. As a Digital connector, you will serve your community through at least 50 hours of volunteer service that is focused on bridging the digital divide. Some of the service opportunities include:
- Promoting digital literacy at community events with partnering agencies.
- Teaching computer and internet skills to community members.
- Distributing computers for underserved communities and individuals.
- Performing humanitarian community service projects.
- Supporting STEM education fairs and initiatives at local community centers.
This program cultivates lifelong connections and friendships, educates participants through five modules of learning and 12 core competencies, provides a deeper and more engaged understanding of your community, and more.
I have been a participant of the Raleigh Digital Inclusion programs for over two years, and managing the programs for over a year. The programs have supplied me with tools to fine-tune skills, such as leadership, vital to my professional development and personally by providing me with an open environment that allowed me to grow.

To date, over 200 participants have graduated from the Digital Connectors program. These graduates have completed over 10,500 collective service hours, trained over 4,100 residents, and refurbished over 1,100 computers.
