Our Journey

Raleigh began its journey as a smart city in 2018, engaging citizens to envision how technology could improve city operations and community life. Today, Smart Raleigh is a continuous actionable plan that evolves with input from the community, businesses, and city departments. Being a smart city is an ongoing journey of learning, experimenting, and implementing innovative technologies for the betterment of the community and its economy.
