In 2023, the Hospitality and Nightlife team launched Hospitality Industry Preparedness Education sessions. This initiative supported hospitality and nightlife industry workers through proactive, free education classes. HIPE sessions provided information and training for active threats, harm reduction, bystander invention, and other business regulatory practices.
