New Amp Requirements

The City evaluated multiple concepts for relocating the amphitheater, taking into consideration size, budget, artist needs, safety, and amenities. Ultimately, we landed on an option that met all criteria.

Final Concept

This concept meets the requirement of at least 6,000 seats and also accommodates:

• Artists' needs;
• Operational safety and functionality;
• Food and beverage services; and,
• Getting closer to our $40 million budget

This option does require closing South Street. Lenoir Street remains open and can accommodate all car traffic routed from South Street, with room to grow.

In addition to meeting the main criteria, this design offers a significant community benefit with reduced sound reflection into residential areas.
