City Connect Series, previously named "Connect Raleigh," started 6 years ago with a single speaker. City Connect Series now showcases a lineup of esteemed speakers, both local and nationally recognized, who delve into cutting-edge topics and trends shaping Raleigh's landscape. From discussions on smart growth and placemaking to sustainability, civic innovation, and beyond, our diverse range of topics reflects the dynamic spirit and forward-thinking ethos of our city. Join us as we explore the forefront of innovation and dive deep into the issues driving progress in Raleigh and beyond.

    Add to Calendar 2024-04-05 17:00:00 2024-04-05 23:00:00 City Connect Series: City Beats & Visual Vibes City Beats & Visual Vibes, a City Connect Series Event.  The event features a dynamic fusion of live music, visual arts, and community engagement. Headlining is the renowned Shaolin Jazz group "Can I Kick It," violinist Tyler Figueroa from America's Got Talent, and eight-year-old local talent Leah Laiani. Joining them is the Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School Marching Band and DJ House. In addition to the musical lineup, the event will feature local artists showcasing their work, providing attendees with a visually stimulating experience. The evening will conclude with a screening of "The Last Dragon," with live remixing of the soundtrack by the Shaolin Jazz group. The event will include vendors from the Black Flea Market and a variety of food trucks onsite. Presented in collaboration with First Friday, "City Beats & Visual Vibes" is free and open to the public, offering an unforgettable evening of music, art, and community. 201 S.
