City of Raleigh IT leaders attended the 2023 North Carolina IT Leadership Forum on March 7 in Raleigh. This forum brought together current and emerging technology leaders with industry partners to provide opportunities for collaboration while addressing important policy, management, and leadership issues surrounding the future of digital government.
City IT leaders also participated on panel discussions including:
- Chief Information Security Officer Rob Reynolds with “The Evolution of the Security Professional” and how the role has changed to become more of a business partner within organizations;
- Assistant Director for IT Beth Stagner with “It All Comes Down to Relationships,” a session on the importance of developing critical relationships within Information Technology, the organization, and the community; and,
- Chief Information Officer Mark Wittenburg with “If You Plan It, They Will Come” focusing on the action of strategic planning to build an agile, resilient, and action-based plan that advances the goals of the organization.
City IT leaders also serve on the program’s Advisory Board including GIS & Emerging Technology Manager James Alberque as well as Reynolds, Stagner, and Wittenburg. The Advisory Board helps create content for the forum, build regional partnerships, and demonstrate technology leadership.
