What is a Cultural Plan?

The Raleigh Arts Plan is a cultural plan created by and for the community. It reflects a shared vision for the future of arts and culture in Raleigh. The City of Raleigh led the planning process, working with local partners, organizations, and residents who want to support the city’s creative future.

Many cities across the U.S. use cultural plans to improve community life. These plans mainly benefit the people who live and work there. They also help artists, cultural groups, and creative businesses grow and better serve their communities.

The Raleigh Arts Plan's goal is to define a clear vision and set goals for strengthening local culture. This includes using the arts to support education, neighborhood growth, tourism, and the economy.
